We hope our children will love their learning experience so much that they do not want to have time off school as we know that strong attendance ensures our children have every opportunity to achieve their potential. Good attendance will enhance your child’s ability to make good, close friendships, and will ensure that they do not miss out on the valuable learning that takes place whilst they are in school. Ultimately it prepares them for further study and eventually the world of work.
In accordance with government guidelines, no absence will be authorized except in exceptional circumstances such as bereavement. No term time holidays will be authorized.
If you do experience difficulties with getting your child to come to school please do come and talk to your class teacher, who will be able to provide an avenue of support for you. Where attendance falls below 90%, letters will be sent home to parents to engage them in boosting this figure again. If there is no improvement, attendance meetings are held.
